Hi!
I am the mother of two seven year olds from Atlanta Georgia – one of whom has special needs. We are looking for an physical therapist student or recent graduate between the ages of 20 and 26 to spend a year with us through the au pair program starting at the end of June/beginning of July 2012.
The candidate would have the opportunity to volunteer during the day at a Therapy facility to learn more about the United States’ approach to treating developmental delays. She will also have the opportunity to learn about Applied Behavioral Analysis, a teaching method that has been scientifically proven to increase communication, learning and appropriate social behavior.
The position would involve caring for the children from 6:30 to 8:30 and 1:30 to 7:00PM during the school year, including cooking the children’s meals, washing their clothes, helping with homework, driving to activities, and engaging them in fun and educational activities.
We are looking for a happy, easygoing candidate who has a true interest in learning and growing while they are in the United States for a year. If you are interested, please email me at
atlantaaupair@gmail.com.
Thanks!
